City Refrigeration Boss Awarded St Mungo's Prize

Congratulations go to the founder of City Refrigeration, Willie Haughey, who was honoured recently with a prestigious award for his philanthropy work.

Willie Haughey - who is working with Dawn Construction to build his new company headquarters - was given the St Mungo’s Prize for “doing the most in the preceeding year for the good of Glasgow by making it more beautiful, more healthy and more honoured.”

To date Willie has donated more than £3million to various charities, including Cash for Kids and Maggie’s Centre.

Willie said he was going to put the award in the new Dawn-built headquarters of his company City Refrigeration Holdings once it is completed. He added: “This is a great honour and privilege and I am very humbled by it. I hope to display the medal in a cabinet in the foyer in our new headquarters.

“All my staff have played a major part in achieving the award so I want everyone to enjoy it.”
