New Cumbernauld Showhome Makes House Hunting a "Walk in the Park"
8 May 2007

Dawn Homes has just opened a stunning new four-bedroom show home, to showcase its ‘Broomhill Park’ development in Cumbernauld.

This exciting collection of 49 four-bedroom executive villas has set a new standard of quality in the popular town of Cumbernauld.

The development features seven different house styles, of which five are brand new designs, never seen before at any other Dawn Home development. Just a few minutes’ walk from Croy train station, Broomhill Park is the perfect location for those who commute to work.

Inside the show home:

Entering the ‘Culzean’ style villa, viewers are met by an airy entrance hall, decorated in soft neutral sand and white hues, lending an immediate ambiance of calm to the home.

Accessed from the hall, the dining room (which is beautifully laid out for dinner), is bright thanks to the large bay window. Striking white and silver striped walls and soft oatmeal drapes add a grown-up feel to this room, making it ideal for entertaining.

Moving through to the lounge, the sense of sophistication follows. The subtle silver and sand tones are echoed here, and the focal point is an elegant marble-effect fireplace, above which striking mirrored artwork enhances the room’s sense of space.
The generously-proportioned kitchen not only offers ample cooking space, but unusually, a large area to relax and watch TV. Cream walls are complemented by smart, earth-toned tiles, which sit well with the granite-effect worktops and breakfast bar. Oak-coloured kitchen units add a luxurious touch, and the classic ‘linen’ colour of the floor tiles continues the natural appeal of this room, which also features a stainless steel oven and hob by NEFF.

The kitchen conveniently leads through to a spacious utility room, ideal for accommodating washing machines and tumble dryers, and also permits access to the spacious conservatory, through which the sunshine streams in and highlights the chocolate and cream rug and furnishings.

Upstairs, via the galleried landing, the viewer enters a study, which could also easily double as a guest bedroom. Decorated in calming sand and delicate citrus tones, this is the ideal place to work from home.

The show home’s first bedroom has been decorated to be a haven for a little girl, and reflects the versatility of a home such as this. Polka dots, pinks and candy colours show how easy it is to personalise a room. There is also ample storage space.

Bedroom two is a double bedroom, dressed in pale citrus hues and grown-up greys. Double-wardrobes demonstrate the space that is available throughout this executive villa.

The third bedroom, which is en suite, has a real ‘boudoir’ feel and is decorated in powder pinks combined with gentle greys. A faux-fur bedspread and slinky pink and grey drapes make this room inviting. The en suite complements perfectly, tiled in grey with silver details.

Moving to the master bedroom, the palette changes. Again en suite and with double wardrobes, this room is strikingly decorated with one wall deep chocolate with a tropical green motif. The soft linen drapes are rainforest green, and the bed is dressed in an array of hothouse colours.

As well as the two en suites, the villa also benefits from a family bathroom upstairs and a spacious downstairs cloakroom, both smartly tiled and with crisp white sanitary ware.

The Broomhill Park show home is open Thursdays to Mondays, 11am to 5pm. Prices at the development currently start from £275,000. For further information, please contact Carol Campbell on 01236 732 978.
